How to do it
Start in a plank position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the floor while keeping your body straight. Press back up to the starting position.
- 1Start in a pike position and swoop your chest down and forward, feeling a stretch through your shoulders and chest
- 2Continue the motion up into a cobra-like position, pressing your chest forward and hips down
- 3Reverse the motion back to the start, feeling your triceps and shoulders guiding the movement
Common mistakes
- Don't let your hips sag or collapse onto the floor during the transition
- Avoid moving too quickly; the exercise should be fluid but controlled
- Don't strain your neck; keep your gaze following the natural arc of the movement
