How to do it

Lie on your back with the soles of your feet together and knees dropped out to the sides in a frog position. Crunch your shoulders up off the floor and reach toward your feet, then hold at the top while keeping your abs tight. Lower under control after the hold.

  1. 1Upper abs squeezing hard at the top of the crunch hold
  2. 2Inner thighs relaxed open in the frog position
  3. 3Steady tension across your core as you hold

Common mistakes

  • Pulling on your neck to lift higher
  • Letting your lower back arch off the floor
  • Holding your breath through the contraction
