How to do it
Sit on the floor with your feet anchored under a heavy object or held in place. Lower your torso back toward the floor, then drive up through a full sit-up and continue the momentum to rise into a standing position. Sit back down and repeat.
- 1Feel your abs and hip flexors drive your torso up off the floor
- 2Use a controlled surge to carry you up to standing
- 3Keep your core braced as you transition from seated to standing
Common mistakes
- Don't yank your neck or throw your head forward
- Avoid collapsing back down without control
- Don't let your lower back round harshly at the bottom
