How to do it
Set your hands on two parallel bars and hold a plank with your body straight from head to heels. Lower your chest below the level of the bars for a deep stretch, then press back up to full arm extension under control.
- 1A deep chest stretch as you drop below the bars
- 2Chest and triceps driving you back to the top
- 3Core tight to keep your body in a straight line
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag or pike up
- Flaring the elbows wide and stressing the shoulders
- Cutting the depth short to make it easier
