How to do it

Lie on your back with knees bent and arms extended straight overhead alongside your ears. Keep your arms locked as you crunch your shoulders off the floor, then lower with control.

  1. 1Feel your abs work harder against the long arm lever
  2. 2Keep your arms straight and locked beside your head
  3. 3Curl your rib cage toward your pelvis

Common mistakes

  • Avoid swinging your arms to throw yourself up
  • Don't pull your chin into your chest
  • Don't let your lower back lift off the floor
