How to do it
Attach an ankle cuff to a low cable and stand facing the machine, holding the frame for balance. With a slight bend in your standing leg, curl the working heel up toward your glute by flexing your hamstring, then lower under control. Finish all reps, then switch legs.
- 1Feel your hamstring contract as you curl your heel toward your glute
- 2Keep your hips still and your standing leg steady
- 3Squeeze at the top, then lower slowly to feel the stretch
Common mistakes
- Do not swing your leg or use momentum to move the weight
- Do not let your hips rotate or your lower back arch
- Do not let the weight stack slam back down between reps
