How to do it

Sit facing a low cable column wearing a head harness clipped to the cable. Start with your head tilted back, then flex your neck forward by tucking your chin toward your chest against the resistance, returning under control.

  1. 1Feel the muscles at the front of your neck pulling your chin down
  2. 2Move only your head while keeping your torso upright and still
  3. 3Tuck the chin smoothly, then let the weight stretch the neck on the return

Common mistakes

  • Avoid yanking your chin down or using momentum
  • Don't round your upper back to assist the pull
  • Don't overload to the point you lose control of the range
