How to do it
Set a low cable pulley with a straight bar and rest the back of your upper arms on a preacher bench facing the stack. Grip the bar with palms facing down and curl it up by bending your elbows, then lower slowly until your arms are nearly straight.
- 1Brachialis and forearms working through the pronated grip
- 2Elbows staying planted against the bench pad
- 3A strong stretch in the upper forearm as you lower
Common mistakes
- Lifting your elbows off the pad to cheat the curl
- Letting your wrists bend or roll under the load
- Swinging the weight up instead of controlling it
Muscles worked
