How to do it

Set both cable pulleys to the lowest position and grip a handle in each hand. Stand in the center with arms down and slightly bent, then sweep your hands up and together in front of your chest in an arcing motion. Lower under control to feel a stretch across the chest.

  1. 1Lower and inner chest squeezing as your hands meet up high
  2. 2A stretch across the chest at the bottom of each rep
  3. 3A fixed, slight elbow bend held throughout the arc

Common mistakes

  • Bending the elbows more to turn it into a press
  • Shrugging the shoulders or letting them roll forward
  • Using momentum to swing the handles up

Muscles worked

The cable low fly mainly works the upper chest, with the mid chest, front delts, lower chest, and internal rotators assisting.
