How to do it

Set the cable pulleys high and grab a handle in each hand. Stand or lean slightly forward and press the handles down and forward toward your lower chest, finishing with your hands together. Return under control to feel the stretch across your lower pecs.

  1. 1Drive the handles down and inward so your lower chest does the work
  2. 2Squeeze your pecs together hard at the bottom of each rep
  3. 3Keep your shoulder blades pulled back and down to stay stable

Common mistakes

  • Do not let your shoulders roll forward as you press
  • Avoid using your front delts to muscle the handles down
  • Do not let the cables snap your arms back; control the return
