How to do it
Stand facing a box or platform. Bend knees and jump onto box, landing softly with both feet. Step or jump back down and immediately repeat.
- 1Feel explosive power from your quads, glutes, and calves as you jump onto the box
- 2Swing your arms for momentum and land softly on the platform
- 3Engage your core to stabilize and stand tall at the top
Common mistakes
- Avoid jumping off a box too high for you; pick a height you can land safely
- Don't land with stiff legs or knees caving in; absorb through the hips and knees
- Avoid stepping off blindly; either step down carefully or jump down if trained
