Stand facing a stepbox with your feet hip-width apart. Plant one foot fully on the box and drive through that heel to stand all the way up until your leg is straight. Step down slowly under control and repeat, then switch legs.

  1. 1Drive through the heel of your lead foot so your glutes and quads lift
  2. 2you
  3. 3Keep your torso tall and core braced so you stay balanced on top of the box
  4. 4Squeeze the glute at the top and control the way back down

Common mistakes

  • Don't push off hard with the trailing leg or hop your way up
