How to do it
Lie under a sturdy table and grip its edge with an underhand grip, arms extended and body straight. Keeping your elbows fixed at your sides, curl your chest up toward the table edge by bending your arms, then lower back down under control.
- 1Feel your biceps pull your body up toward the table
- 2Keep your elbows tucked and pinned in one spot
- 3Hold a straight line from shoulders to heels as you curl
Common mistakes
- Do not swing or use your hips to generate momentum
- Avoid letting your elbows drift forward or flare out
- Do not let your lower back sag; keep the body rigid
