How to do it

Anchor a resistance band at chest height and stand facing it, holding a handle in each hand with arms extended straight out in front, palms up. Curl the handles toward your face by bending at the elbows while keeping your upper arms parallel to the floor, then extend back out.

  1. 1Feel a strong peak squeeze in your biceps as you curl toward your face
  2. 2Keep your upper arms lifted and parallel to the floor throughout
  3. 3Control the return as the band pulls your arms back to straight

Common mistakes

  • Don't drop your elbows or let your upper arms sag
  • Avoid leaning back to drag the handles in with momentum
  • Don't let the band snap your arms straight on the return
