How to do it
Kneel with your ankles anchored and your body upright. Using your hands on the floor for assistance, lower your torso forward over a partial range while resisting with your hamstrings, then push off your hands and pull yourself back up using the hamstrings.
- 1Feel your hamstrings load hard to control the descent
- 2Keep your hips extended and body in one straight line
- 3Use only as much hand assistance as you need
Common mistakes
- Don't bend at the hips to cheat the movement
- Avoid dropping fast; lower slowly under tension
- Don't arch your lower back to compensate
Muscles worked
The assisted partial range inverse leg curl mainly works the hamstrings, with the glutes, lower back, upper abs, lower abs, and calves assisting.
