How to do it
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and hands behind your head. Lift one knee toward your chest while twisting your torso so the opposite elbow reaches across toward that knee. Lower and switch sides, keeping a controlled rhythm.
- 1Obliques crunching as elbow meets opposite knee
- 2Hip flexors driving the knee up
- 3Tall posture between each twist
Common mistakes
- Do not yank your head with your hands
- Avoid rounding your upper back to force the reach
- Do not rush past your balance point
