How to do it
Stand on an inflated air pillow on one leg with the other leg held behind you, arms reaching forward as a counterbalance. Lower into a single-leg squat by bending the standing knee and pushing the hips back, then drive up to standing while the unstable cushion challenges your balance.
- 1Quad and glute of the standing leg driving you up
- 2Foot and ankle working to steady the cushion
- 3Arms reaching forward to counterbalance the descent
Common mistakes
- Letting the standing knee cave inward
- Dropping too fast and losing the cushion underfoot
- Rounding the back as you reach forward
